Easy Peasy - Memory Box Challenge #35: Color Challenge Green

Hello and welcome. Today's card has been inspired and entered in Memory Box Challenge #35: Color Challenge Green. What a fun theme and couldn't wait to have a play with the peas images from both Easy Peasy and Garden Variety stamp sets.
I had so much fun that I have created two cards. Here they are...

The images on both cards have been stamped first with Lawn Fawn Jet black ink, and watercoloured using a water brush and coloured in with  Zig Clean Color real brush markers on both Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. The images on both cards have been cut out using Scan 'n' Cut electronic cutter machine, though there are matching dies for both sets.

On the 'Peas Keep In Touch' card from Garden Variety, I have used Brusho Crystal powders, Leaf Green, Emerald and Sea Green. It was a combination of colour burst, applying the colours with a paint brush and smooshing the colours to create the layers and textures. Arches cold press watercolour paper was used as there was a lot of water application. The cute smiley faces has been added to the bottom pod of peas for a fun look.

The second card, 'Take it easy peasy' from Easy Peasy set, I have done an ink smooshing background using Ranger distress inks, Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough and Twisted Citron. I have also stamped the circles (outlined peas) images using Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron distress ink to incorporate the peas images within the background. Clear dots have also been added for interest.

The peas have been grouped in pairs showing both open and closed for contrast and draped along the top left of the card to follow the organic flow. Clear glossy accents have been added to the peas on both cards and have all been mounted on foam dimensionals, which further makes them pop from the card. The sentiments has been white heat embossed using Ranger super fine detail white embossing powder and is perfect to get the crisp bright white look. Be sure to always prep the surface first with an anti-static powder tool or bag to get best results.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration, these sets are a lot of fun to create with and the green theme just goes naturally and perfect to create a fun and unique monochromatic colour scheme. Thank you so much for stopping by, until next time - Happy Crafting! :)
